Our findings on the technical feasibility of a real-time outcomes database are encouraging.  Elevance Health, for example, is working with Epic to “break down data silos and integrate data on patients’ physical, mental and social health into a longitudinal patient record within electronic health record (EHR) systems”.  CMS is taking steps to move all providers toward interoperability.  And private sector companies like Embold Health are helping employees choose providers using comparative outcomes data.
